Most Flex drivers have no idea what they really take home after mileage, H&R insurance and expenses. Standard spreadsheets and generic apps don't understand how Flex works.
Hire & Reward insurance costs £1.49/hr based on actual hours driven — not slot hours. No other app calculates this correctly.
HMRC uses the 55p/mile allowance method. Universal Credit uses 45p/mile up to 833 miles per month. Two different calculations, two different reports.
When Amazon cancels your slot with notice and pays in full, that's income with no mileage or H&R cost. Most apps can't handle this.

Hire & Reward insurance is required to carry paying customers' goods as a delivery driver. For Amazon Flex drivers it costs approximately £1.49/hour of actual driving time. It's a legitimate business expense on top of your mileage allowance, and FlexLog is one of the only tools that calculates it correctly.
Yes — this is one of FlexLog's core features. The UC report uses the correct 45p/mile rate up to 833 miles per assessment period (then 25p/mile), completely separate from the HMRC calculation. You can also adjust your assessment period dates if they don't match the calendar month.
HMRC's approved mileage allowance (55p/mile for 2026/27) is designed to cover all vehicle running costs — fuel, oil, tyres, servicing, insurance, road tax and MOT. When you use this method, you cannot also claim those costs separately. FlexLog's Actual Cash report lets you track real expenses separately so you can see your true cash position.
A Paid CX (Paid Cancellation) is when Amazon cancels your booked slot with sufficient notice and pays you in full, but you don't make the journey. FlexLog logs this as income with zero mileage and zero H&R insurance, which is correct for both HMRC and UC purposes.
